        Are you a student?  New member? How do we apply to be a non-profit chapter?  What resources are available to me as a CEC chapter officer?  How do I increase my chapter’s membership?  What are some fund raising ideas?  Who do I contact to get what I need?   Need answers?  

 

Mark your calendars for June 6-7, 2008 to attend FCEC’s Leadership Institute at the Rosen Centre in Orlando, Florida.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow chapter leaders  and state board members and officers, learn more about the greatest non-profit professional organization in the world, and be inspired and motivated for the upcoming year!  Mary Ann Ahearn will be our keynote speaker; Mary Ann is an active member of FCEC and is the statewide contact and Administrator for FDLRS/HRD (Human Resources Development).   She will provide you with tools to lead and motivate your membership; be ready for an interactive learning experience; Mary Ann is DYNAMIC!

     Leadership Institute registration forms are included in the newsletter, along with hotel information, and can always be accessed via the website…..www.ffcec.org.  The hotel room rate for the Institute is $119.00 per night…but that is only until Wednesday, May 7th.  Don’t wait…register and book your room today!.  Pssst…chapter rebate checks will be distributed…..$$$$$$$

    The Sarasota chapter is off and running with the planning of the 42nd Annual FCEC Conference…..Under the Big Top with FCEC!  October 23-25, 2008 at the Saraosta Hyatt.  The Call for Presentations has been disseminated…..I encourage you to take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase strategies that are working for you and benefiting your students!   Want further information?  Contact Liz Cramer, cec.cramer@gmail.com.

     Are you interested in serving on the state board?  WE WANT YOU!  Please contact Kathy Moeder Christensen, cec.moeder@gmail.com to be placed on the ballot or for information.  You will be rewarded in so many ways…..

     As you can see, the state board is working for you, the membership and the students and families we serve.  I encourage you to take advantage of these training and networking opportunities….you won’t find a better bargain….I guarantee it!
