Welcome to 2007 FCEC 41st Annual Conference !

On behalf of the Florida Council for Exceptional Children and Miami Chapter 121, welcome to beautiful Ft. Lauderdale!

The 2007 FCEC Conference will be held at the Bahia Mar Beach Resort & Yachting Center (Oct. 11 – 13). This year’s theme is

Roll Out the Red Carpet: Spotlight on Success.

Our preconference institutes include 5 incredible sessions, including a brand new addition - Early Childhood Issues!

This year, we have been able to secure dynamic speakers: Dr. Tom E.C. Smith, Dr. Janette Klingner, Dr. Ann I. Nevin, Dr. Jacqueline Thousand, Dr. Richard Villa, Ms. Bambi Lockman, Ms. Heather Diamond, and Dr. Joan Wynne.  Each of these renown experts will share with us on how to work with culturally and linguistically diverse and/or special education students.

The 2007 FCEC Conference promises to be the best ever. Beginning on Thursday with our outstanding Pre-Conference, spectacular break-out sessions (including an early childhood strand), awesome keynote and featured speakers and great entertainment…the red carpet has been rolled out for you!

We encourage you to visit the many exhibitors that have chosen to take part in the 41st annual conference and to take part in the Awards Reception on Friday night. We look forward to meeting each of you and hope to see you at the Welcome Reception on Thursday evening. Not a member? Be sure and visit the FCEC Membership booth…Judy will be happy to tell you about the benefits of being a CEC member!
